In the palm of His hand

What a crazy couple of months this has been. I have gone through so many transitions and emotions including, stress, sadness, loneliness, shock, excitement, contentment, confusion, sorrow and the list goes on!

I found out on Monday that our exciting news of another baby is not part of God's plan. This news was genuinely heartbreaking and so hard to hear. I cannot change what has happened and feel helpless at times, but I know that God is holding me in the palm of His hand, and that is all that matters. He has given me more than I could have ever asked for, my husband and son are so special to me. God has provided for us more than we deserve, and we are trusting Him that now is not the right time for another baby.

I hope that one day we will be blessed with another child and have faith that we will. He is faithful and continues to amaze me each day of my life.
I am blessed.

Does that say what I think it says?!?!

Good morning! It has been quite some time since I have blogged. Spencer and I have settled nicely after our crazy move from Virginia, and although we miss Clayton every minute of everyday, we are staying super busy with having so many friends and family around in Texas. It's nice to be back!

Well, as some of you might know, Spencer is going to be a Big Cousin! We couldn't be more proud and happy for Haley and Billy! God is SO good...this is a true blessing for them!

A couple of weeks ago, I not only discovered that Spencer is going to be a Big Cousin, but also a Big Brother! Yes, that's right, a BIG BROTHER!

We are still a little in shock, as this was very unexpected, but have to give thanks to God for this little blessing he has given us.

This is a video of me telling Clayton. He was pretty surprised!

From what Haley and I have figured, the new babies due dates should be no more than 8 days apart! Sometime in November 2011. I am so excited I get to share the experience of being pregnant again with my sister! It's going to be a fun summer and fall.

Keep us and our little ones in your prayers! Hope everyone is well!

10 weeks

Where is the time going?!? Spencer is already 10 weeks old. I look at pictures of his first weeks and wonder if I still have the same baby! He changes everyday! This past week he started using his hands (see video)

We thought the first time was a coincidence, but he was hitting those animals for about 30 minutes. It was really cool to see him figure it out.

He has also been sleeping through the night for a week straight and seems to really like his crib. He is smiling, laughing cooing and squeeling a ton! He loves the morning time. We've been having a little trouble at night with him being fussy, but seems like a lot of babies have that same issue in the earlier months of life. We took him to the doctor this past week and he weighs 13.2 and is 24 inches long. Here are some pics from the week

Sushi night, mommy really missed this during those looooooong 9 months! ;)

Life back on the East Coast

Well, we have been home for almost a month now...time is flying by! We have settled in nice and I think Spencer really likes his new home! Other than a one week trip to New Mexico, Clayton has been here with us and has had a pretty undemanding work schedule. We had a very quiet Thanksgiving, it couldn't have been any better. I am so thankful for my family and the time God has provided for us all to be together.

Here are some recent pics.

Spencer is growing so fast, he weighed 12.5 at the doctor two weeks ago! Can't wait to see where he is at when we go for his next appointment. He has grown out all of his newborn clothes and some of his 0-3. I can't believe it. He is also holding his head up so well and smiling like crazy. I love when he smiles, it's so precious. Bath time and gliding are his favorite things to do, we always get a smile out of him in the bath.

my favorite bath time pic :)

We will be traveling back to Texas on the 15th for Haley and Billy's big day and for Christmas! We hope everyone is doing great and can't wait to see you all back in TX very soon! Love to all

Mom and I went to my 38 week appointment today. Midwife says everything looks good and that I am almost 1 cm dialated and 25% effaced. Not much but atleast it's a little progress! I go back next week for another check up. Clayton will be here on Saturday afternoon! I am pretty excited I get to keep him for a while, 3 weeks! :-) :-) :-) We haven't spent that much time together in a longgggg time!!!

37 weeks!

I am officially FULL TERM! 37 weeks. This makes me really excited, only 20 more days until due date!

Clayton, Billy and Haley were all in town this past weekend, it was a great weekend! We ate some amazing BBQ & watched football. Clayton and I went and got a 3d scan of Smitty thanks to H&B! He hid his face the whole time so we had to leave and come back. It's not really his fault, he is so squished in there you can't blame him for not turning over and smiling for the camera. haha! When we came back I drank some cold OJ and he turned just in time for us to be able to see his face. Here are a couple of the pics we got. Looks like he's got some cheeks on him!

I have our bags packed and ready to go! Hopefully it will be sooner than later.

Hope everyone is well.
